Quality Assurance Manager (Part 145) – Permanent – East Midlands Airport

Protec Technical is recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager for a permanent leadership role within a growing Part 145 approved maintenance organisation at East Midlands Airport. This is a senior position offering real influence and the opportunity to shape quality culture and compliance standards across an expanding operation.

About the role

As QA Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of the organisation’s EASA Part 145 quality management system. You will lead the audit programme, manage the CAMO interface, liaise with the CAA, and provide guidance to the maintenance teams on matters of compliance and airworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Part 145 quality management system in compliance with EASA/UK CAA regulations
• Lead the internal audit programme and coordinate external and customer audits
• Manage the non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action (CAPA) processes
• Act as the primary point of contact with the UK CAA for all Part 145 regulatory matters
• Develop and deliver quality and compliance training programmes for maintenance personnel
• Support MOE (Maintenance Organisation Exposition) development and revisions

Requirements

• Extensive experience within a Part 145 approved maintenance organisation, with a minimum of 5 years in a quality or airworthiness role
• Strong working knowledge of EASA Part 145, UK Part 145, and related regulations
• EASA/UK CAA Part-66 licence (B1 or B2) is highly desirable
• Qualified lead auditor (ISO 9001 or AS9110) preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Right to live and work in the UK

Salary

£58,000–£72,000 per annum, plus benefits including pension, healthcare, and generous holiday entitlement.
