Specialist recruitment services
A recruitment partner who understands the work - not just the role.
At Protec Technical, we know that a job description only tells part of the story. The technical context, the team environment, the programme pressures, the licensing requirements, the clearance level — these are the details that determine whether a placement succeeds or fails.
Since 2003, we’ve been building specialist knowledge across aerospace, aviation maintenance, aircraft manufacture, defence, automotive, engineering, and facilities management. That knowledge — held by consultants who have often worked in the industries they recruit for — is what sets us apart.
Whether you need a single specialist at short notice or a full team for a long-term programme, we work as an extension of your business: efficiently, honestly, and with your outcomes in mind.
Technical understanding
Our consultants know the difference between a B1.1 and a B2 licence, what a systems integration engineer actually does, and why specific programme experience matters. That depth means faster, more accurate shortlists — and fewer wasted interviews.
Access to passive talent
The best candidates in specialist technical sectors aren't always actively looking. Our 23-year network of relationships means we reach people who aren't on job boards — and who won't be approached by generalist agencies.
Speed when it matters
Technical staffing requirements don't always arrive with notice. We have the infrastructure and the active candidate relationships to respond rapidly — whether you need one engineer or a complete project team.
International capability
We place professionals across the UK and internationally, managing all aspects of overseas deployment including travel, accommodation, compliance, and in-country logistics. Two Queen's Awards for International Trade recognise our track record in this area.

Introduction of candidates to clients
Following a detailed interview with one of our specialist consultants, candidates are selected for specific vacancies and contract assignments based on their skills, licensing, and experience.
In line with industry best practice, CVs are only submitted once the candidate has been fully briefed on the company and role, and has confirmed their interest – avoiding wasted time and declined interview invitations.
All candidates receive a comprehensive brief prior to interview, including company background, full job description, technical requirements, and interview preparation support.
Interviewing, qualifying and testing candidates
Registration
- Each candidate completes a registration form and receives a full information pack outlining their rights and the terms and conditions they must adhere to
