- Design and development of avionics hardware and/or software to DO-178C / DO-254 standards
- Integration and functional testing of avionics systems on bench and rig environments
- Preparation and review of design documentation including specifications, test procedures, and verification evidence
- Support interface definition activities with aircraft-level systems (ICD management)
- Engagement with safety and airworthiness assessment processes
- Degree in Avionics, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ avionics development experience in a civil or defence aerospace environment
- Working knowledge of DO-178C (DAL A–D) and/or DO-254 design assurance standards
- Experience with ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, or similar avionics data buses
- Familiarity with RTCA/DO and EUROCAE standards for airborne systems
- UK-based with the right to work; SC clearance or eligibility advantageous

This is a high-profile programme role requiring an engineer with hands-on avionics hardware and software integration experience.
About the role
You will be embedded within an avionics development team, contributing to the design, integration, and qualification of avionics systems for a next-generation civil aircraft programme. The role involves close collaboration with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams, as well as direct engagement with DO-178C and DO-254 assurance activities.
