Protec Technical is recruiting a qualified NDT Technician (Level 2 minimum) for a permanent position at a well-regarded aircraft base maintenance facility near Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NDT professional to join an expanding quality team in a modern, purpose-built maintenance environment.

About the role

You will perform non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft structures, components, and engine parts to support base maintenance, modification, and repair programmes. You will be responsible for the accurate completion and certification of NDT records.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspections using Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle techniques
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with OEM task cards, approved maintenance data, and NDT procedures
  • Prepare and certify NDT inspection records and reports to Part 145 standards
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment in accordance with approved schedules
  • Support training and guidance of junior technicians as required

Requirements

  • APCNDT / PCN Level 2 certification in a minimum of two methods (ET, UT, PT, and/or MT required)
  • EASA aerospace NDT Category 3 authorisation (or equivalent UK CAA approval) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ NDT experience in an aerospace Part 145 environment
  • Sound knowledge of aircraft structural inspection requirements and relevant OEM documentation
  • Right to live and work in the UK

Salary

£38,000–£46,000 per annum, plus benefits. Overtime available.
